TV Time shut down. Here's a free alternative for tracking your shows
TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026. The app left the App Store and Google Play, and accounts were deleted. If you used it to remember which episode you were on, you need a new place for that.
CineFR is a free tracker for TV shows and movies. It runs on iPhone, Android and in any browser at cinefr.com, with one account across all three.
What CineFR does for TV shows
- Episode tracking. Mark episodes season by season and pick up where you left off.
- New episode alerts. The iPhone and Android apps notify you when a show you follow gets a new episode or season.
- Where to watch. Add the streaming services you pay for and see which of them carries a show. Twelve services are supported, including Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, Max, Apple TV+ and Hulu.
- Watching with friends. See what friends are watching, build shared watchlists and check how close your tastes are.
- Movies too. Ratings, a watchlist and a calendar of everything you've watched sit in the same app.
Can I bring my TV Time history?
Not directly. CineFR can't read TV Time's own export file, and we'd rather tell you that up front.
If you already moved your history to another tracker and it exports a CSV file with title and year columns, CineFR can import that: on cinefr.com, open Settings → Import from other platforms. Episode-by-episode progress isn't carried over, so you'll set your progress again show by show.
Coming from Letterboxd or IMDb? Those exports work as they are: see importing from Letterboxd and importing from IMDb.
Is it free?
Yes. Tracking, alerts, friends and imports don't cost anything.
